  1. affirm的基本意思是根据事实、本人经历或对某事的确信而作出肯定的陈述,即“断言”。
  2. affirm作“断言; 证实”解时多用作及物动词,不用于进行时态,可直接接宾语,但多数情况下接that/wh-从句。affirm还可接“to be n./adj. ”充当宾语补足语。
  3. affirm偶尔也可用作不及物动词,接介词to引起的短语表示证实的内容。
