“一个年轻男人”则说a young man。

person, people
  • Who are those people standing over there?
  • Who are those persons standing over there?
  • Many people say that what's done is done.
  • Many persons say that what's done is done.

There was no person in the room at all.

There was nobody in the room at all.

It is always enjoyable for a person to go out on a picnic on a fine day in spring.

It is always enjoyable to go out on a picnic on a fine day in spring.

The mayor said that he would come to look into the matter by person.

The mayor said that he would come to look into the matter in person.

      in person表示“亲自”,其中介词in不能换用by。
