词语用法

  1. alive属于表语形容词,不能说very alive,只能说much alive或very much alive(后者比前者使用更普遍),等同于alive的定语形容词是living或live;
  2. the greatest poet alive和the greatest living poet表达方式均可,意思也相同,也可说the greatest poet living,不过不常用,最好是说the greatest poet now living。

  1. alive的基本意思是“活着”,指人〔动物〕还没有死,也可指某人〔动物〕“有活力,活泼”或某事〔物〕“存在着,继续不断”。
  2. alive在句中主要用作表语,也可用作宾语补足语。一般不用在名词前作定语,偶尔用作定语时只能用在被修饰的名词之后。
  3. alive不能用very修饰,但可以说much alive或very much alive。用very much比用much普遍。
