  1. rate有“关税”的意思;
  2. at the rate of five miles an hour意为“每小时5英里的时速”,其中a也可以改成the。
  4. rate

rate, speed
  • The newly-designed airplane has a speed of 500 miles an hour.
  • At the present rate of progress, we can shortly realize the four modernizations.
rate, appraise, assay, assess, estimate, evaluate, value
speed rate velocity pace

  • 错句:restaurants are rated by knives and forks.

纠正:the rating of restaurants is represented by knives and forks.
