  4. big or small
American people are known for their big hearts. They were very nice and we had a big night. It was just so big, it was hard to take it all in.
例如Big Ade(艾德老兄)。
Don't think too big. Don't eat big in the evening. She took her defeat big.

big, great, large
例如“一棵大树”可说a big tree,也可以说a large tree,还可以说a great tree。
The sun is a big ball of fire.
There is a large hall in the middle of the school campus.
The great animal crept slowly towards me.
He has made great progress.
She is a big girl.
He's the greatest man I've ever seen.
She is a large woman.
You great age!
You big fool!
Move your great big smelly feet!
注意只能说great big,不能说big great。
5.如将“大小”相对,可说big and little, large and small, great and little〔small〕。
  • a great family 名门望族
  • a great building 雄伟的建筑物
big large great grand
