  1. mention只有及物动词的用法,后面不可以接介词;
  2. mention后面也不可以接不定式,但可以接动名词和that引导的从句。

    He mentions hearing from her often.
    他提到经常有她的信儿。

  3. 因为mention既是名词也是动词,所以在表示“值得一提”时,短语worth mention和worth mentioning都正确。

  1. mention的基本意思是“提到”“说起”,如口头或书面提及某人的名字,提及或简述某事物等,以引起注意。
  2. mention是及物动词,可接名词、代词或动名词作宾语,还可接以that或疑问词引导的从句作宾语。可用于被动结构。
  3. mention偶尔也可接以as短语充当补足语的复合宾语。
  4. mention不可用于mention sb sth 结构,“对…提起…”可以说mention sb/sth to sb 或mention to sb that/wh-clause结构。
  5. not to mention可用如连词,其后只接名词短语。

这两者都可用如连词,其区别仅在于:not to mention后只接名词短语,而let alone后可接任何词。另外, let alone只用于非正式语体中,且多用于否定句。例如:
