It fills the blanks in the study on the vasiform mic- rofossils in Dengying Formation, Sinian System, and sheds a light on the re- search of the formation and evolution of Late Precambrian to earliest Camb- rian shelly animals.

• 它的发现是继湖北房县下寒武统西蒿坪组和峡东地区震旦系陡山沱组发现瓶状微化石之后的又一新产地和层位,填补了震且纪灯影期该类化石的空白,对探讨由晚前寒武纪束期至早寒武世早期的带壳生物的发生和演化具有重要意义。
