In this paper, the architecture of the image monitoring system is analyzed and the core technologies for developing IMS.The image compression technology is focally presented. 論文首先對圖像監控體系結構進行分析，討論了實現遠程圖像監控系統的關鍵技術，重點研究了一些編碼技術。
