To manage the complex and crisp ecological environment and backward social and economical status,the ecological environment database management system of north west China was esta bished by using 3S technique and DBMS technique.

• 针对西北复杂脆弱的生态环境与落后的社会经济条件 ,笔者按照信息管理系统的目标 ,应用 3S技术及 DBMS技术建立了西北生态环境变化的信息管理系统 (DMS)。
