Thirty two microorganisms,including bacteria,yeasts and fungi,were screened for their ability to convert phenylpyruvic acid(PPA)into L-phenylalanine(L- Phe)with an amino donor,L-glutamic acid(Glu)and L-aspartic acid(Asp).
