Thermal fatigue crack initiation and propagation paths of the high-chromi-um, middle Ni-Cr, adamite(165CrNiM.) and 9Cr2 (the forged steel) rollmaterials have been investigated. Thermal fatigue resistance of the four mater-ials has been evaluated.
