The survey on distribution of hydrocarbon rock, Paleogene uplift, erosion function, traps, especially the offshore and the delta of the East Africa continental margin are the focus in the future.

• 其中烃源岩分布，古近系构造抬升、剥蚀破坏作用，构造圈闭，特别是沿岸边缘海上区，以及三角洲地区的勘探工作应是今后研究工作的重点。
