Mawangmiao oilfield has a hypersensitive reservoir which is located in Yuekou symon fault in Jianghan Basin, and its oil bearing formation is lower segment of Xingouzhui formation, Palaeogene system.

• 马王庙油田含油层位为下第三系新沟咀组下段,储层敏感性较强,注水开发过程中,储层敏感性的表现是随着注水时间的延长,注水压力上升,油层吸水能力下降,注水井周围地层压力不断上升。
