In order to illustrate the roles of EBR in alleviating diseases, experiments were carried out to study the effects of exogenouslu applied EBR on CMV infection in pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo L.)

• 表油菜内酯处理降低了CMV对西葫芦植株的侵染水平；病株率和病情指数相对于只接种CMV处理均有所下降；相对平均防治效果达到38.；8%25；同时喷施表油菜素内酯也明显降低西葫芦叶片中病毒含量；提高了西葫芦对CMV的抗性。
